The weather was perfect - sunny blue skies - and all the skaters had a great time at the 2nd annual skateboard competition in Happy Valley Goose Bay. The venue was the HVGB Rotary Skate Park, set in the Ikey Street recreation area just behind the high school. Crowds were steady all day, and they enjoyed the competition and the "bear paws". It was great to have participants and spectators from Churchill Falls this year.

14 and Under
- 1st Patrick Elson - presented with a trophy, medal and grip tape
- 2nd Greg Dawe (from Churchill Falls) - presented with a medal and bearings
- 3rd Clinton Simms - presented with a medal and video

17 and over
- 1st Jamie Best - presented with a trophy, medal and grip tape
- 2nd Brad Hodder - presented with a medal and grip tape
- 3rd Tyler Elson(aka Gar) - presented with a medal and bearings.

Gar Elson landed a Switch 180 and was presented with a trophy and a gift certificate donated by Goose Bay Sports.

Matt Pilgrim rolled his ankle on his final run. He won a bag of treats to enjoy while his bruises heal.
