2009 was the first year that the CYN sponsored teams in the Labrador Canoe Regatta. We provided the registration fee, uniforms, PFDs, paddles and a paid coach for the teams.

I am pleased to say that our 3 regatta teams did very well in the races.

Our junior girls (CYN Wave Riders) placed first in their category and put off quite a race against the women in the championships....thank-you to Jennifer Batstone for all her dedication in coaching the team!

Our Senior guys (CYN Wreckers) placed 3rd in the championship races and what a fight, they were neck-in-neck with Hydro! Good Job Guys!

Also, our senior women (CYN Lake Runners) put off quite a fight in the races...Thank-you to Ann and Judy Morrris for all their support and coaching to these ladies!
