Award Winning Project
The Central Labrador Economic Development Board has been honoured with the Initiative of the Year award at the NLREDA Economic Development Awards banquet held in November in Gander Newfoundland. The Board was selected for its partnership project with the municipality of Happy Valley Goose Bay to enhance the EJ Broomfield Memorial Arena into a modern business multiplex with state of the art audio/visual, wireless internet, improved meeting room spaces and a new flooring system that will allow for large business conferences and community events to be held during the winter season with minimal interruption to winter sports programming. Executive Director Carol Best accepted the award from Seamus O'Regan on behalf of the Board.
